We had the best time during our getaway at this picture-perfect paradise home in Duck Key! Our normal lives felt like a distant memory, overshadowed by the precious sound of my family’s carefree laughter filling the air.
Upon our arrival, the inviting zero-entry pool welcomed us into our own private oasis. From the private dock, we gazed into the crystal clear canal waters, where my sons (aged 10 and 14) were completely captivated by the underwater wonders; vibrant parrot fish, elegant sea turtles, inquisitive stingrays, and even a few barracuda gliding by… an aquatic adventure!
Fishing from the dock became a family highlight, especially when my sons reeled in some impressive Mangrove Snapper. You can bet they strutted around like proud master anglers when we cooked up their catch for dinner!
Inside, the home is extremely well kept and encompasses that laid-back Keys vibe, making it the perfect sanctuary after a day of sun-soaked fun. The kitchen is truly “the heart of the home”. The open air full kitchen with a large center island is a mother’s dream! The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, giving the feeling of individual hotel suites, allowing everyone to enjoy their own private space in the evenings and private bathrooms.
Conveniently located near Marathon, we found it incredibly easy to pop into Publix for grocery shopping, allowing us to enjoy our private paradise without needing to venture far. But if you’re feeling adventurous, Duck Key offers a fantastic gateway to a variety of exciting outdoor activities! Snorkel at Sombrero Reef with Spirit Snorkeling at Captain Pips… or get up close and personal with dolphins and sea lions at the Dolphin Research Center, visit the Turtle Hospital, hop on a charter for a thrilling day of deep-sea fishing, or take a scenic drive down to Key West!
In short, this vacation rental is a gem that offers everything you need for a perfect family getaway. We’re already counting down the days until we can return!
